GBRは万能か？ ベニアグラフトという選択肢について
今回の話題は『ベニアグラフト』です。
インプラントの埋入に必要な骨の幅がないとき、普通GBRという選択肢が一般的です。
しかし、その足らない幅が非常に多く、なおかつ多数の部位に及んでいたら．．．
ＧＢＲの適用される範囲をやや逸脱してきます。もちろんここでもスーパーテクニックを持った外科医ならばＧＢＲでも可能でしょうね。しかしやはり普通、限界があります。
この時選択肢としてあげられる方法が『ベニアグラフト』なのです。この方法は自分の骨の他の部分からブロックで骨を採取してきて、ブロックごと幅の少ない部分に移植する方法です。
下の顎の場合、臼歯部後方の比較的骨の多くある部分から採取されてくることが多いです。また、オトガイ部からも採取されてくる場合もありますが、日本人の場合はあまりとれないことが多いようです。
ベニアグラフトのテクニックにより下顎の骨幅を増やしているところ。
この方法の利点はＧＢＲに比べて確実に骨幅を増やすことが可能であると言うことでしょう。なんといっても１００％自家骨ですから。
